CLASS AND STUDENT MANAGEMENT
Students are added to classes via the Class Page. At the top of the teacher portal, click on the Class icon. Next, click the blue Add Students button that appears in the upper right corner of the screen. This will open the Add Student dialogue box. From the class page, click the “+” icon in the upper right corner or click the blue “add students” button in the center of the screen. These buttons will open the Add Student dialogue box.
The Add Student dialogue box provides three different options for adding students: (1) Add manually, (2) Share Class Code, and (3) Import Data.
FAMILY COMMUNICATION TOOLS
In the parent portal, click on the dashboard icon at the top of the page—next, click announcements. On the next screen, you will see a family message panel; in this panel, click on the orange pencil in the upper right corner of the panel.
Clicking on the orange pencil will cause the family message dialogue box to appear. The dialogue box contains a simple text editor. Type the message text into the text editor and click the blue “save” button. Family messages post the next business day to (1) the Daily Juice and (2) the parent portal.
ACTIVITIES, PERFORMANCE AND REPORTS
There are two paths to view activity data.
Click on the dashboard icon at the top of the page to quickly see performance information. You can see the completion rate for activities and quiz scores by average and range on the class performance screen for a specific date, range of dates, and article category and reading level.
To see details at the student level from the class performance screen, click the view details button. Clicking this button will pull up a list of your children in the class. Click on the date to see performance information for each student in the class.
You can also see performance via the Student Activity panel. At the top of the screen, click the Class icon. Next, click on any individual student’s name. This will open the Student View dialogue box, which contains detailed reports of Daily Juice activity and quiz performance. To view one or the other, click on the Daily Juice or Quiz Performance tabs located on the left side of the screen.
Daily Juice reports show whether a student has read an issue of The Daily Juice, whether the quiz is in-progress or completed, and, if applicable, the student’s quiz score and whether the student read any extra juices or watched videos.
