The Juice as an Effective Tool for Reading Comprehension and Civics and Current Events Knowledge
OVERVIEW
The Juice conducted two quantitative studies to support the impact The Juice has on reading improvement and current event knowledge with students in Suburban Connecticut and students from The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Alabama.
STUDY RESULTS
After reading The Juice for one month, we found:
- Increased Reading Comprehension: Reading comprehension improved an average of 26.5% for students in both studies.
- Increased Knowledge of Current Events and Civics: Students increased their knowledge of current events and civics by 18.5% on average.
